Hello! Based on this thread, does this mean my project shown below with 3 split levels should only have one level in Hero!? The level being 6100 high and the ground level being 1110? I created 3 different levels with the garage and first level belonging to F1 as there is only a 600mm difference, and then F2 and F3 as per levels in the section here. I used subfloor walls to level above for F1 or to neighbour between F2 & 3 but when it came time to run the model the permanent openings and holes for the stairs would not work and I was getting subfloor error messages... If I made it all the one level, how would level 3's floor form level 1's ceilings?? Do I have to start over? Can I copy zones from one level to another? I need help asap :(
Thank you for your question Sarah, I'll also follow up with a reply to your support ticket.
If you want connections between walls the walls need to be on the same level. If you need connections between the ceiling/floor they need to be on adjacent levels. In the case of the project image you shared the wall between the single-storey leanto and the main (two-storey) house over two levels looks something like this: *Note, heights are calculated from the dimensions to the right of the section:
Level 1: 0 to 1,680 = subfloor, 1,680 to 2,470 = neighbouring wall (to leanto)
Level 2: 0 to 2,440 = neighbouring wall (to leanto), 2,440 to 3795 = external wall (gable end)
This results in two levels only and the hole for the stairs connects to the lower zone properly as the lower zone is adjacent.
For anyone else that may get confused by level heights / wall treatments in split level projects with subfloors - this might be helpful. Blue is level 1, yellow is level 2 with numbers how the levels were set and red notes how the walls were set.
